Page after page, wanting more. A true page turner. Can't wait for the sequel. Nelly went through hell yet she demonstrates what it's like to persevere, work hard and succeed in a world where bigotry, bullying, and abuse of power rule. Though emotional at times, this story is empowering, brilliantly written and will stand the test of time.

Excellent read!
A lovely story revealing the strength of family and persistence. The twists and turns and surprises kept my interest, wanting more and more. Ms. Cadore addressed many relevant current-day issues with grace and compassion. I would highly recommend this book for book club discussions, as well. Can’t wait for more . . . .

Rarely have I come across a book so well written, with a natural flair. The story is marvelously authored. The suspense is intriguing. The emotional aspects made me misty-eyed.
